This document explains the privacy principles applied in HOSTIMOR's website, customer account, ordering, billing and support processes. Detailed legal information on the processing of personal data is provided in the Privacy Notice (KVKK). Viewing this document or accepting the service agreement does not constitute general explicit consent to non-essential data processing.
2. Use of information and confidentiality
Account, contact, order and technical information is used to provide the requested service, provide support, issue invoices, protect the account and infrastructure, and fulfill legal obligations. Use for purposes other than these requires an appropriate legal basis and, where necessary, separate information/explicit consent. Customer lists are not sold to third parties for independent advertising purposes.
Access to support correspondence, service management information and non-public customer documents is limited to the persons who need it for their duties. If access to customer content is required outside normal service operation, the purpose and authorization are taken as the basis; the most limited access necessary for the requested technical operation, a legal requirement or a security intervention is preferred.
3. Sharing and external services
Data necessary for the relevant transaction may be transferred to providers involved in services such as payment, invoicing, domain name operations, data center, infrastructure or support. Duly made requests from competent public authorities and other legally authorized bodies are assessed separately. Not all customer data is shared with all providers; purpose and need are taken as the basis.
Domain names and some external services may require transactions with organizations in other countries. If there is a transfer abroad, a mechanism compliant with the conditions in Article 9 of Law No. 6698 must be applied. General acceptance of the privacy policy does not replace this mechanism. The Customer can ask through the support channel about the recipients/transfer scope of the relevant service. External sites may have their own privacy policies; HOSTIMOR does not control the data practices of every linked site.
4. Security and access
Measures such as authorization, access control, secure connections, log monitoring and backups are carried out in a manner appropriate to the nature of the service. No internet system can be offered with a guarantee of absolute security or uninterrupted operation; this does not remove the obligation to take reasonable security measures. Suspicious access and breaches can be reported without delay to destek@hostimor.com.
The Customer should protect access to their account, use additional security verification where available, remove unnecessary access permissions and not send confidential information unless required for support. In the event of a security incident, the applicable notification obligations and the impact of the incident are taken into account.
5. Communication preferences and cookies
Service-related messages such as invoices, service term, support replies and security notifications are kept separate from marketing communications. Advertising and offer messages are sent in accordance with appropriate consent and preference mechanisms; an opt-out request does not result in any penalty for using the service. Explanations regarding cookies and similar technologies are provided in the Cookie Policy.
6. Retention, applications and updates
Information is kept for as long as required by the purpose of processing and the relevant legal retention obligations; when these conditions cease to apply, deletion, destruction or anonymization is considered as appropriate. The 2–7 day retention range for hosting backups does not mean that invoices or legal records will be deleted within the same period.
You can exercise your rights through the KVKK Application Procedure. If this policy changes, the current text and its date are published; previous transactions, valid commitments already given and mandatory legislation are reserved.
