How do you compare VDS and VPS server packages?
When choosing a virtual server, look at the resources your application needs before looking at the package name. In Hostimor's server section, VDS and VPS packages are listed in separate categories.
Processor and RAM
Compare the core, MHz or vCPU values and the RAM capacity stated on the cards. Take note of the term shared vCPU in VPS packages. Do not treat different processor definitions as equivalent just by looking at their numbers.
Disk, traffic and network
Assess whether the SSD disk capacity is sufficient for your application files, databases and other content. Check the traffic, port and IP address details in each package's technical specifications.
Other technical specifications
Use the All Features button to review the virtualization, operating system and management options. Do not assume that snapshot, backup or support features are the same in every package; check what the card you choose includes.
