Hostimor | VMware ESXi Management

Fully automate VPS and VDS sales on your standalone VMware ESXi servers end to end, from order to delivery to the end of service. Your customer places the order and chooses the operating system and password; the module sets up the virtual server on ESXi within minutes, assigns the IP address, configures the network and password settings and sends the login details to your customer. You simply focus on sales.

The module does not require vCenter; it uses only VMware's official vSphere Web Services API and requires no SSH access or additional software on ESXi. Developed by Hostimor, it has been verified one by one on real ESXi 8.0.3 servers with 30 different operating system templates. The package consists of the WISECP server module and a management add-on that manages all your ESXi servers on one screen.

Fully automated server provisioning

• 30 operating system templates: AlmaLinux 8 / 9, CentOS 7 / 8, CentOS Stream 8 / 9, CloudLinux 8 / 9, Debian 10 – 13, Ubuntu 18.04 – 26.04, Kali Linux, FreeBSD 12 – 15, Windows Server 2012 R2 / 2016 / 2019 / 2022 / 2025 and Windows 11 Pro. The customer chooses any of them when ordering, and the system installs the selected operating system automatically.
• The customer's username and password: the server is delivered with the root / Administrator password the customer set on the order form; if the field is left blank, a strong password is generated.
• Exact plan resources: vCPU, RAM, disk, the number of IPv4 addresses, and CPU and disk IOPS limits are applied from the product settings; the disk is grown to the plan's size, and the partition and file system are also expanded inside the operating system.
• Smart IP management: multiple IPv4 ranges, excluded addresses, and automatic skipping of gateway / network / broadcast addresses. Simultaneous orders are queued; an address is never assigned to two servers. The addresses of cancelled services whose virtual machine still exists are kept as well. Multiple ESXi hosts can share the same IP pool.
• Hostname, static IP, DNS and password are applied on first boot via cloud-init / cloudbase-init or VMware Tools, including ready-made templates (e.g., DiyoVM).
• OVA library: OVA files in the datastore become operating system options directly; ESXi converts the file into a template itself on the first order. One ESXi host can also use another ESXi host's templates.
• Login details are sent to your customer automatically with WISECP's activation notification.

Client area

• Power management: start, graceful shutdown, restart, force power off and hardware reset.
• Reinstall the operating system from scratch: the customer can switch to a different operating system or do a clean install of the same one; the process is safe, reversible and protected against repeated clicks.
• Web console in the browser: the customer accesses their server's screen directly from the panel. Because the console is relayed through WISECP, it works even if you close your ESXi servers off from the internet; no additional ports, proxy servers or certificates are required. The console can be switched off per plan in the product settings.
• Password reset (root / Administrator), hostname change, network settings and DNS, additional IPv4 addresses and SSH keys.
• Snapshots: create, revert and delete; a per-plan limit that can be raised with an add-on. After a revert, the package's current CPU and RAM values are applied again.
• CPU, RAM and disk usage gauges, an event log and a login details card (username, password, IP addresses, a ready-to-use SSH command or RDP file).
• Changes made while the server is powered off are applied automatically inside the operating system when the server is powered on.

Automatic lifecycle and unpaid services

• Automatic suspension when an invoice is overdue (the server is shut down safely), automatic unsuspension when payment is received, and automatic cancellation and deletion at the end of service.
• Per-product policy: for suspension, "shut down" or "leave to administrator approval"; for termination, "delete", "shut down and leave deletion to approval" or "leave to administrator approval". Actions awaiting approval are collected in a single list in the management add-on; if the action an administrator approves has changed in the meantime, they are warned and nothing is applied.
• Package upgrades and downgrades; additional vCPU, RAM, disk, IPv4 and snapshot add-ons are applied instantly.

VDS / VPS migration between ESXi hosts

• A service's server is moved to another ESXi host with a single click; the IP addresses are kept, or new ones are assigned from the target server's pool and configured inside the operating system.
• On a shared datastore, only the registration changes, within minutes; with separate storage, only the used portion of the disk is transferred. Progress can be monitored live, and the operation can be canceled if needed.
• If an error occurs, the service and the server stay in their original location, and no data is lost. A half-made copy on the target is marked and deleted automatically.

Management add-on

• All your ESXi servers on one screen: CPU, memory and datastore usage, version and license information, and capacity warnings.
• All virtual machines, which customer and service each belongs to, power actions and migration. Services whose virtual machine cannot be found are marked separately in the list.
• Template × server table: one-click OVA-to-template conversion, template copying and deletion.
• IPv4 pools address by address: free, assigned, in use outside WISECP, excluded.
• Safe cleanup of orphaned disks and folders.
• Linking existing servers: virtual machines created from another panel or set up manually are matched to your customers' existing services, automatically or manually, by IP address, the service number in the VM name, or hostname; the servers themselves are not touched.
• Permissions: the add-on is used by full-privilege administrators and the privilege groups you give access to; actions on customers' virtual machines require WISECP's service privileges.

Security

• ESXi and customer passwords are stored encrypted in WISECP; passwords are masked in logs. On Linux, only the SHA-512 hash of the password is sent to the guest system.
• First-boot data is automatically removed from the virtual machine configuration once it has been used.
• Concurrent operations are protected by locks; during a reinstallation, the old disk is not deleted until the new one is ready.
• A virtual machine that belongs to another service is never deleted; a virtual machine renamed on ESXi is not treated as missing.
• Customers never see ESXi server names, versions or internal error messages; the management add-on's requests are protected against CSRF.
• ESXi access can be restricted to your WISECP server's IP address only; the module needs no port other than 443.

License, updates and support

• 3, 6 or 12-month domain license: the module is bound to the domain name of your WISECP license. You can manage as many ESXi servers and virtual machines as you like on that single domain.
• Updates are included for the duration of the license: new versions are installed with one click from the management add-on, with their signature and every file verified; your settings are preserved.
• Live on the WISECP Marketplace: the product passed WISECP's review; you can also install the package from the WISECP Marketplace. Marketplace installations receive updates through the update notice in the WISECP panel.
• Free initial setup and configuration: your ESXi entries, IP pools, templates and products are prepared by our expert team.
• 1 free domain name change: further changes can be purchased as an additional service.
• If the license period expires and is not renewed, the management add-on, the module settings and server management in the admin and client areas are closed, and no new servers can be set up. Your running virtual servers are not shut down, and WISECP keeps suspending unpaid services, unsuspending paid ones and cancelling services that end. As soon as you renew, everything picks up where it left off.
